The Value of UtABA Membership

As a member of UtABA you will be a part of the behavior analysis community.  We will keep you connected by providing you with exclusive information on behavior analysis education, advocacy and practice in Utah.  Members receive discounts  to the annual UtABA conference, webinars and other events that expand the knowledge and practice of behavior analysis.  We offer opportunities to earn CEU credits and keep members posted on Utah CEU events.

  • Full Members:

1.       Anyone certified as a BCBA or BCBA-D by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and must provide

official documentation of BCBA or BCBA-D certification from the BACB; or

2.     Individuals who are licensed or registered psychologists certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology

in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology who have tested in Applied Behavior Analysis, or

3.     An approved instructor in a Verified Course Sequence, or

4.     A person who holds a doctoral degree from an accredited higher education institution and has established a track

record of meritorious contributions in behavior analysis and must provide a copy of their vitae for review by the UtABA Board.  

  • Professional Members:

Anyone certified as a BCaBA by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board or registered in the State of Utah by DOPL as a Registered Behavior Specialist (RBS) or Registered Assistant Behavior Specialist (RaBS). Must provide official documentation of BCaBA certification from the BACB or RBS or RaBS from the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.

  • Student Members:

Must currently be enrolled in a college degree program or in a full­ time post-graduate training program. Must provide official documentation of student status in order to be eligible for membership, this could include a letter from a sponsoring faculty member.

  • Affiliate Members:

Anyone who has an interest in behavior analysis but does not meet the requirements of other membership types.
